MoU Signed to Advance Digital Skills and Support Cambodia’s MSMEs
AKP Phnom Penh, August 20, 2026 -- The Chamber of Professional and Micro Enterprises of Cambodia (CPMEC) and Educational Broadcasting Cambodia (EBC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen digital education and skills development for entrepreneurs and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Cambodia.
The signing ceremony, held at EBC headquarters on Aug. 20, 2026, was chaired by H.E. Sok Puthyvuth, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC).
The MoU sets out mechanisms and areas of cooperation aimed at supporting the development of micro and medium-sized businesses while improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning through digital technology, according to CPMEC’s statement.
The partnership is also aligned with the Royal Government of Cambodia’s vision of achieving the upper-middle-income status by 2030.
Under the agreement, the two sides will work to produce short- and medium-length digital videos to promote quality and effective education and training for entrepreneurs and MSMEs in Cambodia.
The cooperation will also focus on promoting and developing the hard and soft skills of members of CPMEC and relevant stakeholders.
In addition, the MoU aims to promote the use of digital technology and media in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, while contributing to local economic development and helping reduce the digital divide in Cambodia.
The agreement reflects efforts to expand the use of digital tools in education and business development, particularly in strengthening the capacity of entrepreneurs and MSMEs to adapt to an increasingly digital economy.
