Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended her warmest congratulations to H.E. Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha of the Republic of India, on the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day.

In a formal letter dated Aug. 10, 2026, the Cambodian parliamentary leader conveyed her heartfelt felicitations to Speaker Om Birla, his colleagues, and the people of India ahead of the anniversary to be commemorated on Aug. 15.

Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed full confidence in the continued growth of bilateral relations, highlighting that the longstanding friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Cambodia and India are grounded in mutual respect, mutual understanding, mutual trust, and mutual interests.

She further reaffirmed Cambodia's commitment to elevating parliamentary cooperation to new heights across both bilateral and multilateral platforms to foster lasting peace and prosperity for both nations.
