AKP Phnom Penh, August 10, 2026 --
Samdech Kittisangahapundit Men Sam An, Vice President of the Cambodia Veterans & Pensioners Association (CVPA), presided over a gathering Monday to distribute state relief packages and outline welfare support for 491 veteran families in eastern Svay Rieng province.
The distribution took place at a social land concession site in Chik Dey village, Andoung Po commune, Romeas Hek district.
Speaking at the ceremony, Samdech Men Sam An highlighted the vision of Cambodian People's Party President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, emphasising that former service members are recognised for their national sacrifices through sustained state assistance, including land allocations and residential housing.
She noted that the administration under Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet is actively expanding social safety nets by broadening healthcare access, ensuring timely social security disbursements, and building infrastructure in development zones.
Samdech Men Sam An also urged recipients to maintain social stability, practice daily health hygiene, maximise crop and livestock production on their allocated land, and called on local authorities to ensure no veteran is left isolated.
Each of the 491 families received 10 kilogrammes of rice, 10 cans of fish, six bottles of fish sauce, six bottles of soy sauce, one case of instant noodles, one case of bottled water, a blanket, and a cash stipend.
