Cambodia on Friday marked the one-year anniversary of a brutal invasion by Thai forces, which involved heavy artillery, chemical smoke, cluster munitions, airstrikes, and kamikaze drones against both military and civilian targets.

H.E. Heng Ratana, Director General of the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC), highlighted the significance of the date on his official Facebook page, recalling the aggression launched exactly 365 days ago against Cambodia’s territorial integrity.

He called on the nation to view these events as a crucial lesson in history and science to further bolster national unity, resolve, and patriotism.

On this occasion, H.E. Heng Ratana also paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, national police officers, and civilians who lost their lives during the invasion, honouring their sacrifice in defence of the nation, religion, and the Khmer King.
