Cambodia Showcases Digital Governance Achievements at UN Public Service Forum 2026

Cambodia’s steps in digital government transformation took centre stage at the United Nations Public Service Forum 2026, where a high-level delegation led by H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, engaged in crucial bilateral talks and high-level workshops to expand the Kingdom's digital public infrastructure globally.
The 2026 United Nations Public Service Forum took place in Tbilisi, Georgia, from June 23 to 25, 2026, under the theme "Transforming Public Institutions: Advancing innovation, Participation, and Inclusion."
On the sidelines of the forum, H.E. Chea Vandeth held bilateral meetings with H.E. Faquir Mahbub Anam, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology of Bangladesh; H.E. Ms. Tashi Pem, Chairperson of the Royal Civil Service Commission of Bhutan; and Mr. Patrick Duong, Global Lead for UNDP Governance for Public Goods and Services.
During the meeting with H.E. Faquir Anam, both Ministers discussed the progress of Bangladesh's request to adopt the verify.gov platform and its expansion into South Asia, while in the discussion with H.E. Ms. Tashi Pem, the two sides shared the successful experience of implementing the verify.gov.kh platform. In addition, they exchanged deep insights on digital transformation in the public sector of both countries and agreed to explore cooperation possibilities.
In the meeting with the UNDP, the Ministry delegation introduced the GPGS team of the UNDP to Cambodia’s digital government transformation, particularly the national and international achievements of the verify.gov.kh platform. Both sides agreed to conduct a further study to explore direct partnership opportunities regarding the verify.gov.kh platform and digital transformation capacity building.
During the forum, H.E. Chea Sereyvath, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the Digital Government Committee, participated as a speaker in two workshops under the topics of "Smart Public Service Delivery: Reducing Procedural Complexity" and "Digital Public Infrastructure for Public Service Delivery."
On the occasion, H.E. Secretary General highlighted the achievements and potential of the verify.gov.kh and DG SuperApp platforms to ensure that public service delivery is convenient, fast, secure, and inclusive for all citizens.
These digital transformation initiatives fulfill the Ministry's mandate in the implementation of the fifth priority of the Pentagonal Strategy—Phase 1 under the wise leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
