Cambodia Information Ministry Women’s Association Boosts Hospital Nutrition with Fortified Rice Donation
AKP Phnom Penh, May 28, 2026 --
The women’s association branch of Cambodia's Ministry of Information on Thursday donated 300 boxes of vitamin-fortified rice to the Cambodia-China Preah Kossamak Hospital to support patients undergoing treatment.
Lok Chumteav Tuy Serey Ratanak Neth Pheaktra, honorary president of the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development at the Ministry of Information, led the delegation to deliver the humanitarian aid.
Dr. Hun Sokoam, deputy director of the hospital, expressed deep gratitude for the donation, noting its significance for patient welfare.
"While this fortified rice may not fully meet all the needs of our patients, we hope it goes some way in easing their burdens during their hospital stays," Lok Chumteav Tuy Serey Ratanak said. She also commended the hospital’s leadership and medical staff for their high sense of responsibility and professionalism in caring for patients.
The Ministry of Information's women's association frequently collaborates on humanitarian initiatives with the Cambodian Red Cross, regularly providing assistance to hospitals, orphanages, centres for people with disabilities, and rehabilitation facilities across the country.
