AKP Phnom Penh, May 27, 2026 --
Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has extended his congratulations and best wishes to Cambodian Muslims, both inside and outside the country, as well as Muslims around the world, on the occasion of Hari Raya Haji, observed on May 27 this year.
“I and my wife would like to congratulate the 1,210 Cambodian Muslims who have performed the Hajj, a religious obligation and the fifth pillar of Islam, in Saudi Arabia, together with Muslims from across the globe,” he wrote on his official social media platforms this morning.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also expressed his gratitude to the Cambodian Muslims who have joined other Cambodians of different religious beliefs in maintaining peace and living in harmony under the leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
The Premier further extended best wishes of success to all Cambodian Muslims, both inside and outside the country, in their religious endeavours.
Hari Raya Haji, also known as Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice, is observed on the 10th day of Zulhijjah, marking the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage that every Muslim must undertake at least once in their lifetime, if able, and is regarded as one of the most significant spiritual obligations in Islam.
