ABC, SOSORO Museum Jointly Enhance Financial and Economic Literacy Among Cambodian Youth
AKP Phnom Penh, May 13, 2026 --
The Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) has officially renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Bank of Cambodia's Preah Srey Içanavarman Museum of Economy and Money (SOSORO Museum).
This partnership aims to further promote financial literacy and economic understanding among students and the youth of Cambodia.
The signing ceremony was held on May 12 at the SOSORO Museum under the high presidency of H.E. Yim Leat, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia.
The agreement was inked by Mr. Rath Sophoan, ABC Chairman, and Mr. Blaise Kilian, Co-Director of the SOSORO Museum.
The MoU reaffirms the banking sector's deep commitment to strengthening financial education. It focuses on providing children and students with practical insights into the history of the Khmer Riel and the evolution of Cambodia’s economy.
As part of this collaboration, students will participate in guided tours of the SOSORO Museum and conduct study visits to the Institute of Banking Studies (IBS) to gain a comprehensive understanding of the financial landscape.
This continued collaboration serves as a vital bridge between historical knowledge and modern financial practices, ensuring that the next generation of Cambodians is well-equipped with the economic literacy needed for the future.
