Cambodian and Philippine Chambers Seek to Foster Cooperation
AKP Phnom Penh, May 05, 2026 -- The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) will hold a working meeting with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry to strengthen institutional relations and promote trade and investment between the two countries.
The working meeting is scheduled to be organised when a CCC delegation, led by Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of CCC and Chair of ASEAN BAC-Cambodia, accompanies Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister and Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, the Republic of the Philippines from May 7 to 8.
During the visit, the CCC delegation will hold a working meeting with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry to strengthen institutional relations and promote trade and investment between the two countries, CCC said in a statement issued on May 5.
Cambodian and Philippine businessmen will also have the opportunity to network directly during the meeting to explore and examine potential cooperation in key sectors, including Finance, Investment, Agriculture, Food, Tourism, Real Estate, Construction, and Electronics Industry, read the statement.
Beyond bilateral discussions, the CCC delegation will participate in other dialogue and business meetings to foster relations with the ASEAN business community.
Figures from the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia show that the bilateral trade between Cambodia and the Philippines rose by 100 percent to US$42 million in the first quarter of 2026. The Kingdom’s exports to the Philippines totalled US$30 million.
