Public officials and citizens across the country have expressed profound joy after receiving news of the successful surgery of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.

They conveyed their heartfelt happiness and extended prayers for the King’s swift and full recovery. This reflects their deep respect and affection for His Majesty the King. 

They also prayed for blessings, protection, and good health for His Majesty so that he may soon regain full strength and return to Cambodia after completing his medical care in China.

Moreover, they expressed hope that the King would continue to reign as a source of peace, unity, and prosperity for the Cambodian people throughout the Kingdom.

According to a press release of the Ministry of the Royal Palace, the monarch underwent medical surgery on the morning of April 20 at a hospital in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China. He safely left the operating room later the same day and remains under the close care and supervision of the medical team.

Doctors have advised the King to remain in Beijing for a further period following the operation in order to continue monitoring his recovery and to provide additional medical care.
