AKP Banteay Meanchey, March 21, 2026 —

H.E. Kitti Sangahapundit Kun Kim (Pic. 1), Senior Minister, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Association, inspects infrastructure preparation at a site designated for the construction of temporary shelters in Slar Kram commune, Svay Chek district, Banteay Meanchey province, this morning. The site is part of a government initiative, with the first phase of construction already completed.

Construction teams are continuing to build housing units for veterans, which will also accommodate displaced persons temporarily. Around 300 houses have been completed, and the project is expected to reach a total of 3,000 houses before the upcoming Khmer New Year.
