Acting Foreign Minister and UN Coordinator Discuss Development Priorities

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Ms. Eat Sophea received a courtesy call by H.E. Ms. Vladanka Andreeva, United Nations Resident Coordinator (UNRC) in Cambodia, at the Ministry on Mar. 16, during which UN’s priorities for development in Cambodia were discussed.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Acting Minister warmly welcomed and congratulated H.E. Ms. Vladanka Andreeva on her appointment as the new UNRC in Cambodia. She highlighted the UN's longstanding contribution to Cambodia's efforts for peacebuilding, mine action, sustainable development, and graduation from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) status.
The UNRC also thanked the UN Country Team (UNCT) for their contributions in supporting activities to bring relief to Cambodian internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict.
For her part, H.E. Ms. Vladanka Andreeva commended Cambodia's progress across all sectors and pledged to strengthen UN cooperation with all relevant Cambodian institutions to achieve sustainable development goals.
