South Korean Firms Donate Medicine to Cambodia for Border Conflict Victims

In a humanitarian initiative, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in the Republic of Korea has accepted a donation of pharmaceutical supplies intended for Cambodian frontline soldiers and civilians displaced by the ongoing conflict along the Cambodia-Thailand border.
H.E. Khuon Phon Rattanak, Cambodian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, presided over a symbolic handover ceremony on Mar. 12. The event followed a courtesy meeting with Mr. Choongwhan NOH, CEO of Korean BL Pharm. Co., LTD; Professor Hyun-Chang YU, President of the Korean National Unification Cultural Foundation (KNUCF).
The medical supplies, donated by Yungjin Pharm. Co., Ltd and Korean BL Pharm. Co., Ltd, will be channeled through Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of National Defence for distribution to affected soldiers and evacuees along the border.
During the discussions, Mr. NOH noted that this marks the fifth instance of his company and its network coordinating and providing medical aid to Cambodia. He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing efforts to source and supply high-quality pharmaceuticals to the Cambodian people in the future.
Ambassador Khuon Phon Rattanak expressed profound gratitude for the consistent and proactive support from the Korean companies and their associates. He encouraged Mr. NOH to explore opportunities for direct investment in Cambodia's pharmaceutical sector, including the potential establishment of manufacturing enterprises.
The Ambassador extended an invitation for the CEO to visit Cambodia for a firsthand assessment of the investment climate and to explore the local landscape. He confirmed the Embassy's readiness to facilitate introductions with relevant Cambodian institutions and potential local partners in the pharmaceutical industry should the company wish to pursue such opportunities.
Mr. NOH welcomed the Ambassador's proposal, accepting the invitation for an upcoming visit to Cambodia. He also extended an invitation to Ambassador Khuon Phon Rattanak to tour his company's facilities in the Republic of Korea at a mutually convenient time, with the aim of strengthening bilateral ties and expanding future cooperation.
