Cambodian Top Diplomat Receives Farewell Calls from Lao and Indonesian Ambassadors

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn received farewell calls from H.E. Buakeo Phumvongsay, Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and H.E. Santo Darmosumarto, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, upon the successful completion of their respective diplomatic missions in Cambodia.
During the farewell meeting, H.E. Buakeo Phumvongsay expressed his sincere appreciation to the Cambodian side, particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, for the strong support and close cooperation extended to him throughout his tenure in Cambodia.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for his dedication and efforts in strengthening bilateral relations between Cambodia and the Lao PDR. He underlined the Ambassador’s important contributions to enhancing the Cambodia–Lao PDR Comprehensive and Long-Lasting Strategic Partnership, particularly through facilitating mutual high-level visits between the leaders of the two countries. He also reaffirmed Cambodia’s readiness to further deepen cooperation with the incoming Lao Ambassador.
In another meeting, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister highly commended the Ambassador of Indonesia for his valuable role in promoting friendly relations and close cooperation between Cambodia and Indonesia.
For his part H.E. Santo Darmosumarto expressed his gratitude for Cambodia’s active cooperation, especially in key areas such as security, economy, education, and culture.
The Deputy Prime Minister extended his appreciation for the Ambassador’s contributions and reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to continuing strong cooperation with Indonesia, while expressing his readiness to support and work closely with the Ambassador’s successor.
