AKP Banteay Meanchey, January 10, 2026 —

The ASEAN Observers Team (AOT) this morning conducts an inspection of the impacts caused by Thai military incursions into Cambodia’s sovereign territory in the Boeung Trakuon area in Banteay Meanchey province.

Moreover, the AOT also conducted on-site visits to locations sheltering displaced residents in Thmar Puok district, where more than 1,000 families are currently staying in temporary shelters. Their homes were reportedly damaged or destroyed after Thai military forces deployed containers, installed barbed wire, and carried out destructive actions in the affected areas.
