Cambodia National Assembly President Receives More Donations for Troops, Displaced Civilians
AKP Phnom Penh, January 06, 2026 --
Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, on Jan. 5 received charitable donations of funds and supplies from three of her advisers for distribution to soldiers and displaced civilians.
Samdech Sudary expressed profound gratitude for the donors' generosity and spirit of national solidarity. She stated that the donations would support Cambodian troops and citizens affected by border challenges, reflecting a strong national unity behind the Royal Government and armed forces in defending territorial integrity.
She highlighted that this unity—spanning citizens, monks, civil servants, leaders, and His Majesty the King—forms a crucial pillar supporting the Royal Government and military in safeguarding the nation.
The National Assembly President confirmed the donations would be forwarded to provincial authorities in border regions—including Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Pursat, and Koh Kong provinces—for distribution to frontline troops and displaced persons. Additional funds and materials will be allocated to soldiers receiving hospital treatment and to families of fallen troops.
The National Assembly continues to accept and distribute all charitable donations to intended beneficiaries, aiming to bolster morale and maintain strong bonds between those on the front lines and the public they protect.
