Cambodia GTF Exports Bag US$14 Billion in 11 Months
AKP Phnom Penh, December 31, 2025 --
Cambodia exported garment, footwear and travel products (GFT) worth in total US$14.21 billion in the first 11 months of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 16 percent, according to a report from the Ministry of Commerce.
Garment products accounted for US$10.45 billion during the January-November period, an increase of 17 percent compared to the same period last year, read the report.
Footwear and travel goods exports amounted to US$1.9 billion and US$1.85 billion, up 26 percent and 3.7 percent, respectively, the source stated.
The garment manufacturing industry remains stable thanks to increase in new investment projects in the sector despite global economic pressures, said H.E. Sun Mesa, Spokesman for the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training.
“The garment manufacturing industry has continued to be a massive employment generator, and the rise in exports is directly linked to economic development,” he added.
The main markets for the Kingdom’s GFT products are the US, EU, Canada and Japan, the Ministry of Commerce pointed out.
Cambodia exports GTF goods, solar panels, furniture, and bicycles to the US under the Most-Favoured-Nation trade preference scheme.
The GFT industry is the largest foreign exchange earner for Cambodia, accounting for 50 percent of the Kingdom’s total export value during the above-mentioned period.
The sector consists of about 1,608 factories, employing approximately 913,000 workers, mostly female, according to the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.
Last year, the country exported US$13.92 billion worth of GFT products, up 23 percent over a year earlier.
