Korean Association Donates 100 Fans to Ministry of Information for Border Relief
AKP Phnom Penh, December 30, 2025 -- The Korean Association in Cambodia on Tuesday donated 100 electric fans to the Ministry of Information to support charitable initiatives for frontline soldiers and displaced civilians along the nation's borders.
The donation ceremony was held at the Ministry of Information headquarters, attended by Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra and Mr. Chung Myung Gyu, President of the Korean Association in Cambodia. The initiative was supported by various South Korean entities, including the Hebron Academy, KIA Motors, and the Han Cam Scholarship Association.
Minister Neth Pheaktra expressed his deep gratitude to the Korean Association and the South Korean donors, characterising the contribution as a significant gesture of solidarity.
"This donation reflects a noble spirit and a strong bond of friendship," he said. "It demonstrates a commitment to supporting the Cambodian Royal Government in alleviating the hardships faced by our frontline troops and displaced citizens in border regions."
Mr. Chung Myung Gyu stated that the association, in collaboration with South Korean businesses and philanthropists, organised the donation after identifying a growing need among those affected by border instability.
"We are proud to partner with the Ministry of Information to promote the well-being of the Cambodian people," Mr. Chung said. "Our goal is to provide practical relief to those serving on the front lines and those forced to flee their homes during these challenging times."
The Ministry confirmed that the fans will be distributed immediately to military outposts and displacement camps as part of its ongoing social and humanitarian mission.
