Cambodian Ministry of National Defence have reported Thai military’s aerial attack on a civilian area in Banteay Meanchey province this morning.

According to the Ministry’s news release, at 7:31 a.m., Thai F-16 fighter jets violated Cambodian airspace and dropped four bombs on a civilian residential area in Kampong Svay commune, Serei Sophorn city, within Military Region 5.

In response, the Ministry added, Cambodian armed forces remain on high alert, maintaining firm defensive positions while closely monitoring developments along the border. They are standing ready, vigilant, and resolute in fulfilling their duty to protect Cambodia’s territorial integrity and national dignity.

“We will protect our dignity with courage and unwavering resolve, at any cost, and without succumbing to coercion or intimidation in any form,” reaffirmed the Ministry of National Defence.
