The Cambodian Ministry of Interior has highlighted irrefutable evidence of war crimes committed by Thai armed forces in Chouk Chey and Prey Chan villages.

From 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2025, Thai troops fired approximately 250 artillery shells into Chouk Chey village and around 110 shells into Prey Chan village, both located in O’Beichoan commune, O’Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province.

Thai soldiers also deliberately shelled and destroyed villagers’ homes in a barbaric manner, even though residents had evacuated to temporary shelters days earlier.

This was stated by the Ministry of Interior on Dec. 26 evening.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia has repeatedly affirmed that Cambodian forces, in their defensive counterattacks, have never targeted Thai civilians or civilian sites. They have aimed solely at Thai military positions.

In stark contrast, Thai forces have not only attacked Cambodian troops but have repeatedly and intentionally shelled Cambodian civilians and civilian targets within Cambodia’s sovereign territory in a deliberate, inhumane, and utterly brutal manner.

These actions have caused a continuous rise in deaths and injuries among innocent Cambodian civilians, while numerous civilian infrastructures have been destroyed, including ancient temples, Vishnu statue, pagodas, schools, hospitals, roads, bridges, people’s homes, and many other structures.

All of these constitute undeniable evidence of war crimes perpetrated by the Thai army.
