AKP Phnom Penh, November 18, 2025 -- Malaysia’s RHB Banking Group has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening and expanding its presence in Cambodia.

The pledge was made by Mr. Danny Quah Boon Leng, RHB’s Managing Director of International Business, during a meeting in Phnom Penh yesterday with H.E. Mrs. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC).

Mr. Quah praised Cambodia’s financial technology development, particularly the progress of the Bakong payment system, and reaffirmed RHB’s dedication to supporting human resource development in the banking sector.

For her part, H.E. Mrs. Chea Serey thanked RHB for its continued commitment and encouraged the bank to further support key economic sectors, including agriculture, agro-industry, and manufacturing.

She also briefed the RHB delegation on Cambodia’s economic outlook, the resilience of its banking system, and the importance of promoting financial transparency.
