H.E. Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State, has expressed his congratulations on behalf of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Cambodia as it celebrates the 72nd anniversary of its Independence Day.

"For over 70 years we have maintained a close relationship based on trust, mutual respect, and shared interests. The growing U.S.-Cambodian partnership has brought prosperity, peace, and security to both our peoples. The United States looks forward to continuing our support for a strong, independent, and resilient Cambodia," the U.S. State Secretary in a press statement.

"Congratulations to all the people of Cambodia on this important occasion. I wish you festive and peaceful celebrations as you honour 72 years of your nation’s independence," he concluded.

Cambodian people celebrate yesterday the 72nd anniversary of national independence from France (Nov. 9, 1953 - Nov. 9, 2025).
