Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister Congratulates Cambodian Vovinam Team on World Success

The Cambodian Vovinam Team has won a total of 23 medals in 26 events at the 8th World Vovinam Championships, held in Bali, Indonesia, from Nov. 2 to 8, 2025.
The medals include 7 gold, 11 silver, and 5 bronze, marking another proud achievement for Cambodia in the international arena.
Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet this evening extended his warmest congratulations to the Cambodian Vovinam Team for their outstanding performance and contribution to national pride.
According to the World Vovinam Federation (WVVF), this year’s championship attracted around 600 athletes from 26 countries and territories across Asia, Europe, Africa, and Oceania, competing in 45 events, including 26 performance (forms) and 19 combat categories.
Cambodia sent a 40-member delegation led by Mr. Ou Ratana, President of the Cambodia Vovinam Federation. Of the delegation, 29 were athletes, while the rest were coaches, referees, judges, and officials.
In the 7th World Vovinam Championships held last year, Cambodia won 20 medals—6 gold, 5 silver, and 9 bronze—ranking third overall, after Vietnam (the host country) and Algeria.
