Cambodia, Thailand Conclude 2nd Special GBC Meeting with Strong Commitment to Peace and Stability along Common Border

The 2nd Special General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting, which commenced this morning, concluded at 11:30 a.m. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E. Gen. Nattaphon Nakphanit, Minister of National Defence of the Kingdom of Thailand, under the observation of key parties, including representatives from Malaysia, the United States, and members of the Interim Observer Team (IOT) in Cambodia and Thailand.
At the end of the meeting, both sides adopted and signed the Joint Agreed Minutes and Joint Statement of the 2nd Special Meeting, reaffirming their strong commitment to fully and effectively implementing these important outcome documents, according to H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence.
“Cambodia firmly believes that the 2nd Special GBC Meeting will yield further fruitful outcomes and ensure the full and effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement by both parties, to promote peace, stability, and a swift return to normalcy,” she underlined.
