Office of Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency to be Established in Cambodia to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

The Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will open an office of the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency, Lux-Development S.A., in the Kingdom of Cambodia, to promote the cooperation between both nations.
According to a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Cooperation issued this evening, the establishment of this office was initiated on the occasion of the official visit of His Royal Highness Grand Duke Guillaume, then Crown Prince and now Grand Duke of Luxembourg, and in conjunction with the signing of the General Cooperation Agreement between the two governments on Mar. 31, 2025 in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The Lux-Development Office will play an important role in strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries, notably by contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of Cambodia through various development initiatives and projects.
The presence of the above development office reflects the positive evolution of relations and cooperation between the two countries at a higher level and reaffirms the commitment of Cambodia and Luxembourg to develop a stronger and more lasting partnership. The two countries will focus on cooperation in key areas, including economic development and poverty reduction, education and vocational training, health and social protection, sustainable development and environmental protection, as well as cooperation in humanitarian demining and community security, thereby contributing to stability and local development.
“Once again, the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg welcome this new phase of cooperation and express their readiness to work closely together to accelerate the process of opening the Lux-Development office in Cambodia as soon as possible, with the aim of promoting closer bilateral relations and enhanced cooperation for the benefit of the nations and peoples of both countries.
