AKP Phnom Penh, October 20, 2025 --
Banteay Meanchey Provincial Governor H.E. Oum Reatrey today extended deep gratitude to Cambodians living overseas for their generous donation of essential medicines and medical equipment aimed at supporting border health workers, soldiers, and vulnerable local communities.
The official handover ceremony was held this morning, at the provincial hall, bringing together provincial authorities, medical teams, and representatives of the donor groups.
Addressing the event, H.E. Oum Reatrey stated, “On behalf of the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Administration, I express my deepest gratitude to our Cambodian compatriots living overseas for their generous contribution. This support will be distributed to frontline health workers and local citizens along the border areas to meet their essential healthcare needs.”
The Governor stressed that this generous act powerfully reflects the strong patriotism and spirit of national unity shared by Cambodians worldwide. He further underscored the broader significance of the aid.
“This donation is not only a meaningful contribution to healthcare but also a clear demonstration of collective commitment to national defence, border protection, and the well-being of our people living in border regions,” he remarked.
He emphasised that this act of solidarity highlights the enduring love and responsibility Cambodians feel toward their country, proving that all Cambodians, regardless of where they reside, remain united in contributing to national causes.
Concluding the event, the Governor, on behalf of the provincial administration, extended best wishes to all Cambodian compatriots abroad for good health, good fortune, and the four Buddhist blessings – longevity, beauty, happiness, and strength.
