Cambodian Minister of Tourism Leads a Delegation on Official Visit to Kazakhstan and Türkiye

H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, departed here this morning, leading a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism on an official mission to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Türkiye.
The official visit, taking place from April 19 to 25, 2025, aims to strengthen international tourism partnerships and showcase Cambodia as a premier travel destination.
During the mission, the delegation will participate in the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Annual Summit 2025, along with related meetings and the premiere of a tourism film shot in Cambodia. These events will be hosted in Almaty, Kazakhstan and Istanbul, Türkiye.
As part of the PATA Summit in Türkiye, Minister Huot Hak will attend the 2025 PATA Annual General Meeting, the Policy Conference for Member States, and several other high-level meetings.
The summit serves as a critical platform for dialogue and strategic planning among key tourism stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition to multilateral engagements, H.E. Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with senior officials and tourism ministers from Kazakhstan and Türkiye, as well as with leaders of PATA partner organisations. These meetings aim to enhance cooperation and promote increased international tourism to Cambodia, fostering partnerships and exploring opportunities for mutual development in the tourism sector.
Another key highlight of the mission is the premiere of a tourism film produced in Cambodia, which will take place in Altay, Kazakhstan.
Minister Huot Hak is also scheduled to meet with executives from Daubay Production and other film industry stakeholders to discuss future collaborations in promoting Cambodia as a top destination for tourism filmmaking.
The visit underscores Cambodia’s commitment to expanding its global tourism footprint, attracting international visitors, and establishing stronger cultural and economic ties with international partners.
