Cambodia, Timor-Leste Seek Stronger Cooperation

As a key supporter of Timor-Leste’s membership in ASEAN, Cambodia is looking forward to boosting bilateral cooperation with the country.
Yesterday afternoon, in Phnom Penh, H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation held bilateral talks with H.E. Bendito Dos Santos Freitas, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.
The discussions took place during H.E. Bendito Dos Santos Freitas’ official visit to Cambodia from April 3-4, aiming to enhance diplomatic ties and explore new areas of collaboration.
According to the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the bilateral meeting touched on the strengthening of the cooperation in various fields, ranging from economics, trade, tourism, and education to people-people exchange.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to working more closely to enhance the friendship and cooperation for the mutual benefits of the two peoples and nations.
