People's Daily and Cambodian Media Launch Joint Interview Series on Belt and Road Initiative Successes

People's Daily, in collaboration with prominent Cambodian media outlets, has commenced a joint interview series focusing on the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and its impact on Sino-Cambodian relations.
The collaborative effort aims to showcase the tangible achievements of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and infrastructure development.
Participating media, including the State-run Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP), Khmer Times, and APSARA TV, will embark on a four-day journey from April 4th to 7th, visiting key project sites across the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The interview team will explore projects such as the thriving Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, the impactful Lower Sesan II Hydropower Station, the vital Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital, the ongoing Angkor cultural heritage restoration and protection efforts, and the innovative Cambodian "Luban Workshop."
Culminating the interview series, a result sharing session will be held at the Sokha Hotel in Phnom Penh on April 10.
This session will convene high-level representatives from the Cambodian Ministry of Information, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, mainstream media, and leading think tanks.
The sharing session will highlight the crucial role of media cooperation in fostering a Sino-Cambodian community with a shared future.
Distinguished guests will deliver speeches, and senior journalists will share their firsthand experiences and insights from the fields.
People's Daily has extended an invitation to Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Wang Wenbin to contribute a video speech for the sharing session. The speech will encourage Cambodian mainstream media to deepen practical cooperation with Chinese media, such as People's Daily, to strengthen cultural exchanges and enhance public understanding of the mutually beneficial nature of Sino-Cambodian cooperation.
This joint interview initiative underscores the commitment of both nations to fostering stronger ties through transparent and comprehensive media engagement, highlighting the positive impact of the Belt and Road Initiative on Cambodia's socio-economic development.
