AKP Phnom Penh, March 18, 2025 —
The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has organized the “New Engine for New S-Curve” event, providing insights into organizational management, product development, marketing, financial strategies, and modern business practices. The event aimed to equip young farmers and community enterprises with the tools to drive innovation and growth in Thailand’s agricultural sector.
Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Prof. Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat highlighted agriculture as a cornerstone of Thailand’s economy, supporting millions of livelihoods while offering potential expansion into high-value industries. The ministry is now working to transform community enterprises and young farmers into agribusiness leaders by integrating modern business strategies and strengthening industry networks. The approach is expected to drive a new S-curve in agriculture and enhance Thailand’s global competitiveness.
Developing agro-industry and agribusiness is seen as a key economic driver, promoting growth, reducing inequality, and ensuring sustainability. A key event highlight was the presentation of innovative agricultural products, including protein gel and Fine Robusta Coffee, developed under a program supporting young farmers and rural enterprises.
The event also showcased 15 emerging agribusinesses and introduced 10 innovative agricultural products, such as freeze-dried longan stuffed with strawberries, crispy cashew nuts, dried hibiscus snacks, ready-to-drink lemon juice, banana-flavored instant drinks, kale and fish rice seasoning, and pumpkin-spinach juice.
