Cambodian Commerce Ministry Promotes Implementation of Competition Law, Consumer Protection Law

The General Directorate of Consumer Protection, Competition, and Fraud Repression (CCF) of the Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with the RCEP Implementation Support Programme (RISP), organised a dissemination workshop on “Implementation of Competition Law, Consumer Protection Law and Related Regulations” in Battambang province on Friday.
The workshop was presided over by Mr. Sin Sideth, Deputy Director General of CCF, Mr. Pheng Sithy, Deputy Governor of Battambang province, Ms. Faith Considine, Second Secretary of the Australian Embassy in Cambodia as well as representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Cambodian Women Entrepreneurs Association, Young Entrepreneurs Association, Cambodian Small and Medium Enterprises Association, vendors, women-led businesses, and students, etc.
The workshop was aimed to raise awareness among key stakeholders about the Competition Law and the Consumer Protection Law, and to promote dialogue, facilitate a forum for public and private sector participation to address challenges and identify needs for support related to law enforcement.
It was also to offer floor to exchange and share good experiences, find solutions to challenges, continue to communicate, and promote compliance and implementation of the laws and regulations efficiently and effectively.
