PM Urges Cambodian Oknha Association to Boost More Investment and Economic Activities

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet called on here this afternoon all Oknha – Cambodian tycoons – to enhance more investment and boost more local economic activities.
Speaking at the 2nd Annual Conference of the Cambodian Oknha Association, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his congratulations and thanks to all Oknha who have joined hands with the Royal Government in the country’ economic development and social activities.
“The Royal Government is the one who sets policies and builds this and that achievements, but it is not enough if there is no participation from the private sector, especially the Okhna, in creating jobs and promoting the economic growth […],” he underlined.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also urged all Oknha to continue working with the Royal Government to maintain stable economy with sustainable growth.
Neak Oknha Ly Yong Phat, President of the Cambodian Oknha Association, reaffirmed the commitment of the association’s members to actively contributing to the development of Cambodia.
As of 2024, the Cambodian Oknha Association has in total 446 members, including 5 Lok Neak Oknha, 140 Neak Oknha, and 301 Oknha, while there are more than 1,000 Oknha recorded in the country.
Last year, Cambodia attracted 414 investment projects worth US$6.9 billion, marking an increase of nearly US$2 billion from the previous year.
