Khmer Product Expo Set to Showcase in Upcoming Angkor Sankranta Event
AKP Phnom Penh, March 12, 2025 --
The Ministry of Commerce this morning announced to organise a Khmer Product Exhibition during the Angkor Sankranta, a major cultural event in Siem Reap province, aiming to showcase local potential products to both national and foreign tourists.
Angkor Sankranta event is scheduled to be held this year from April 14 to 16 to cheer the Khmer Traditional New Year.
The exhibition is the collaboration between the Ministry of Commerce and the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), the Angkor Sankranta organiser.
Initiated by the UYFC in 2013, this year’s Angkor Sankranta event will be themed “Smile to Celebrate the New Year,” and feature various cultural and entertainment programmes highlighting Cambodia’s rich and vibrant cultural heritage.
The Ministry of Commerce has so far encouraged producers and traders to increase their innovation and ensure the quality and safety of their products and services. It has also urged more promotion and support of local products as the country is diversifying markets with free trade agreements with China, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates, and through Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement, among other mechanisms.
