H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), led a business discussion and matching meeting with a business delegation from California, USA. 

The meeting was attended by CDC high-ranking officials and a delegation from the Cambodian Oknha Association. 

On the occasion, H.E. Sun Chanthol briefed the U.S. business delegation on the Kingdom’s ongoing economic development, underscoring the Royal Government’s policies focusing on economic diversification, aiming to achieve the Cambodia Vision 2050 as a high-income economy.

H.E. DPM also highlighted Cambodia’s attractiveness as a potential investment destination thanks to its strategic location, strong political stability, renewable energy sources, young workforce and government’s support for private sector such as preferential investment law and diverse and interconnected intermodal transport and logistics infrastructure. 

The Californian business delegation expressed their appreciation and high interest in Cambodia’s remarkable progress.

They also highly appreciated the Royal Government’s support for the private sector and expressed their willingness to examine the possibility of strengthening bilateral cooperation between California and Cambodia, especially on economic and investment relations.
