Japan provides more grants for projects in Phnom Penh and Preah Sihanouk
AKP Phnom Penh, February 18, 2025 --
Japan supports the installation of a component manufacturing machine at the Orthopaedic Component Factory in Phnom Penh and a pier construction in Koh Rong of Preah Sihanouk province.
H.E. UENO Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, and the representatives of the agencies to receive the grants co-signed respective agreements at the embassy on Feb. 14.
Under the deals, the Government of Japan has agreed to provide US$204,720 under the framework, the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, KUSANONE, to the recipients.
The grants support the Project for the Installment of Component Manufacturing Machine at Orthopaedic Component Factory in Phnom Penh and the Project for the Construction of Pier in Koh Rong Commune, Koh Rong District, Preah Sihanouk Province.
H.E. UENO Atsushi was optimistic that these grants will improve the quality of life for people in each project area and further promote friendship between Japan and Cambodia.
