Environment Ministry Confirms Good Air Quality in Cambodia
AKP Phnom Penh, February 10, 2025 --
The average Cambodia Air Quality Index (AQI) was 26.79 µg/m3 from 6:00 pm on Feb. 9 to 6:00 am on Feb. 10, compared to the standard of 50 µg/m3, meaning that the air quality was good, the Ministry of Environment pointed out in a news release this morning.
According to the ministry’s air quality monitoring, most of the 25 provinces and capital in Cambodia experienced “very good” and “good” air quality during the said period.
For Preah Sihanouk and Koh Kong coastal provinces, the AQI was at the “moderate” level with real-time air pollution PM2.5 at 104 and 140 µg/m3, respectively while Pursat province received a rating of “Orange” showing that the air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups (those with heart disease or lung disease, children, teens and elderly, those who are active outdoors).
The public can follow the air quality updates via an App, developed by the ministry, which can be downloaded at https://apps.apple.com/kh/app/cgs-spa/id6670718929 for IOS, and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details.... for Android.
