Workshop Held to Raise Awareness of Competition and Consumer Protection Laws

A workshop on “Implementation of Competition Law, Consumer Protection Law, and Related Regulations” was held on Feb. 6 in Siem Reap province aiming to raise awareness of Competition and Consumer Protection Laws.
The workshop was organised under the collaboration between the Consumer Protection, Competition, and Fraud Repression Directorate General (CCF) of the Ministry of Commerce and the RCEP Implementation Support Programme (RISP) under the Regional Trade for Development (RT4D) project, supported by the governments of Australia and New Zealand.
The event was co-chaired by H.E. Phan Oun, Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia in charge of Directorate General of CCF, Mr. Yun Linne, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap province, and Ms. KIRSTY Harris, Head of Development Cooperation, Australian Embassy in Cambodia with the participation of 150 people.
The workshop also aimed to promote dialogue, facilitate public and private sector participation to address challenges and identify needs of support.
The workshop provided a platform for exchanging best experiences, find solutions to challenges, foster ongoing communication, and promote efficient and effective compliance and implementation of the laws and regulations.
