Over 1 Million Foreign Tourists Visit Angkor Resort in 2024

The Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap province attracted a total of 1,023,688 foreign visitors in 2024, up 28,27 percent compared to a year earlier, said the state-owned Angkor Enterprise in a report AKP received on Jan. 1.
The world-renowned resort generated nearly US$88 million from ticket sales, a year-on-year increase of 28.57 percent, it pointed out.
Of the income, the source added, more than US$2 million was donated to Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation to support the humanitarian activities of the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals.
In December alone, the Angkor Archaeological Park welcomed 125,349 foreign visitors, earning almost US$6 million in revenue, up 27.81 percent and 27.21 percent, respectively, the report continued.
The entrance fee for a one-day visit to the park is US$37, a three-day visit costs US$62, and a week-long visit costs US$72.
Located in northwest Cambodia, the Angkor Archaeological Park, inscribed on the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 1992, is the most popular tourist destination in the Kingdom.
