Three Investment Projects Worth US$246 Million Licensed
AKP Phnom Penh, May 27, 2020 --
Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to three new investment projects with a total investment capital of US$246.1 million.
According to the council's press release issued yesterday, the newly approved projects are expected to create some 1,547 jobs for the locals.
The three projects cover the processing of all kinds of fruits, the production and assembly of solar panels, and the development of a 80-megawatt hydropower project.
The projects belong to Cam M J Agricultural Co., Ltd., Hounen Solar Inc. Co., Ltd., and SPHP (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., in Kampong Speu, Kandal and Pursat provinces, respectively.
Such investments amid the COVID-19 outbreak demonstrate confidence of foreign investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic.
