Government Confirms Vaccination Obligation for Civil Servants and Armed Forces
AKP Phnom Penh, April 11, 2021 --
The Royal Government this morning issued a sub-decree on the obligation of vaccination against COVID-19 to combat and prevent the pandemic in Cambodia.
According to the five-chapter-and-8-article sub-decree, the vaccination obligation will concern the civil servants in the legislative, executive and judiciary bodies, as well as the armed forces, judges and prosecutors.
The vaccination is also a must for some individuals based on their work or career situation as identified by the Ministry of Health, it added.
Those who cannot receive the vaccination due to health problems certified by competent health officers will be exempted from the obligation, the sub-decree underlined.
Those who avoid the obligation will be warned by their respective workplaces, and if the avoidance continues, they will receive other disciplinary sanctions in accordance with the existing laws and regulations.
