The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) has announced to allow the resumption of sports activities and competitions as well as gatherings of national teams step by step, after the conclusion of the Nov. 28 community transmission event.

The decision was made in the ministry's announcement released today, explaining that it is aimed at improving health, strengthening trainings in preparation of the athletes for the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam and 2023 SEA Games hosted by Cambodia.

According to the source, all sport activities, competitions, and gatherings must follow the Ministry of Health’s health safety measures to ensure the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic.
