Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to three new investment projects with a total investment capital of US$13.5 million.

According to the council's press release issued this afternoon, the projects newly approved are expected to create some 1,950 jobs for the locals.

The three projects, including a yarn factory, a garment factory, and a wooden furniture factory, belong to Lak Sun (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Sinokh Perfect Garment Co., Ltd., and Dongan (Cambodia) Wood Co., Ltd. located in Kampong Speu, Kandal, and Preah Sihanouk provinces, respectively.

Such investment amid COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates confidence of foreign investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic.
