AKP Phnom Penh, December 11, 2020 --
Bilateral trade between Cambodia and Japan was valued at US$1,748 million in the first ten months of this year, a year-on-year decrease of 8 percent.
Figures from Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) shows that from January to October 2020, Cambodia exported US$1,358 million worth of goods to Japan, sliding down 6 percent compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Cambodia spent US$390 million importing products from Japan, a year-on-year decline of 12 percent.
According to the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, the potential products for export to Japan are clothes, footwear and electronics.
Last year, the two-way trade between the two nations rose by 13 percent to US$2,292 million.
