Two Cambodian Senior Officials Awarded with Foreign Minister of Japan’s Commendation

Two Cambodian senior officials will be presented the Commendation of the Foreign Minister of Japan for their contribution to promoting the relations between Cambodia and Japan.
According to a press release of the Embassy of Japan in Phnom Penh, this year’s recipients were announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in a press release on Dec. 1.
The Cambodian recipients are H.E. Dr. Mey Kaliyan, Senior Advisor of the Supreme National Economic Council, and Brigadier General Mr. Hout Sothy, Commissioner, Oddar Meanchey Provincial Police Commissariat, it pointed out.
They are recognised by their contributions to promoting the economic relations between Japan and Cambodia, and supporting Japanese nationals in need of help in Cambodia, respectively, it added.
Awarding ceremonies will be organised in due course, said the same source.
Foreign Minister of Japan’s Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields, to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and areas, it underlined.
