Cambodia Wins 6 Medals from Tirak Taekwondo International Championship 2019 in Thailand

Cambodian Taekwondo athletes in Kandal province have won 6 medals from the 9th Tirak Taekwondo International Championship 2019 in Thailand.
The update was shared following the arrival of the athletes at Phnom Penh International Airport recently, with honorable greeting by a delegation led by Mr. Peou Vanna, Chief of Bureau of Kandal Provincial Education, Youth and Sports Department and President of Kandal Provincial Taekwondo Association.
Of the medals, one is gold, and the rest are silver (four) and bronze (one) – indicating remarkable advancement of the sport of Cambodia.
The tournament took place on Oct. 26 in Bangkok with the participation of athletes from over 20 countries in Asian, European and American continents, according to Mr. Chea Sarat who led the Cambodian athletes to attend the event.
Mr. Chea Sarat continued that Kandal Provincial Taekwondo Association sent six athletes (2 girls) aged from 9 to 18 years old to the games.
