Ministry of Information Opens Registration for Media Coverage of International Anti-Online Scam Conference
AKP Phnom Penh, August 13, 2026 --
The Ministry of Information has opened registration for national and international journalists wishing to cover the International Conference on Combating Online Scams, scheduled to take place in Phnom Penh on Sept. 23-24, 2026.
According to a ministry notice, journalists interested in covering the proceedings and outcomes of the international conference are invited to register through the official website www.ccos.gov.kh.
Registration will remain open until Aug. 23, 2026, allowing accredited media representatives to obtain identification badges for access to the event.
The conference will be held at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra under the theme “Together Towards Disrupting the Chain and Ending Online Scams.”
The Ministry of Information encouraged national and international media outlets interested in reporting on the conference to complete the registration process within the stipulated deadline.
The international gathering is expected to bring together ministerial-level leaders from 16 countries, senior technical officials from 14 countries, and representatives of six international organisations to exchange experiences and discuss effective measures to combat technology-enabled fraud.
The conference forms part of Cambodia’s broader efforts to strengthen international cooperation in combating online scams and preventing people around the world from falling victim to scam networks.
