Cambodia Welcomes AJCEP at 21st ASEAN-Japan Summit

In the spirit of increasing ASEAN-Japan trade, Cambodia welcomed the signing of the First Protocol to Amend the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (AJCEP).
The remarks were made by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen attending the 21st ASEAN-Japan Summit in Singapore yesterday, according to his official Facebook page.
At the same time, Cambodia highly appreciated Japan's key contribution to building the ASEAN Community and promoting ASEAN integration through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund as well as to supporting the implementation of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 and Initiative for ASEAN Integration Work Plan III (2016-2020) to minimise the development gap in the region, particularly to endorsing the building of ASEAN's human resources and enhancement of people-to-people relations.
At the summit, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and other leaders of ASEAN and Japan expressed their pleasure to see the increase of ASEAN-Japan trade volume, which reached some US$217.9 billion in 2017.
