Health Minister Discusses Cooperation with Australian Ambassador

The Minister of Health H.E. Mam Bunheng has received Australian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Pablo Kang to discuss health collaboration.
Taking place recently at the health ministry, both sides exchanged appreciation of the flourishing cooperation between Cambodia and Australia, further fostered when H.E. Ambassador started his mission.
H.E. Mam Bunheng congratulated H.E. Pablo Kang for his mission in Cambodia and thanked him as well as the Australian government and people for the support to Cambodia’s health sector since 1993.
The health minister also floated a proposal for Australia to support Cambodia’s efforts to fight the COVID-19 crisis especially through the Population Services International and the Mérieux Foundation the dissemination of applicable government’s measures among Australian diplomats, officials, investors and beyond.
Since 2007 until now, the Government of Australia has invested about US$145 million under the bilateral framework to support Cambodia’s health and has committed to provide an additional US$28.9 million for five years until 2021.
