Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces Pays Courtesy Visit to Cambodian PM

AKP Phnom Penh, June 23, 2018 —

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here yesterday afternoon at the Peace Palace visiting Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan told Samdech Techo Hun Sen of his visit, saying that it was his introductory visit to Cambodia, aiming at fostering the relations and cooperation between the two nations.

For his part, the Cambodian Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the progress in the relationship between the two neighbouring countries and urged more attention and support from both sides, especially their armies, for long-term growth of their two-way trade which has already reached more than US$6 billion.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also shared Cambodia’s strategies for border development – transforming the former battlefields into development area and the border areas into an area of peace, friendship, cooperation and development as well as promoting infrastructure and people-to-people connectivity.
